I’m starting a new series which will feature funny, weird, crazy and strange things for auction on eBay.  The first to be featured is this swanky bed from the 70’s in which the King of Rock n’ Roll, Elvis Presley slept in when he performed in Mobile, Alabama.  The bed is 7 feet in diameter, has two sections of mirrors and is covered in crushe velvet (of course).  This bed was located in a suite at the Ramada Inn - room 611.  The bed also has a CD player with FM and AM radio with stereo speakers so you can listen to all of your favorite Elvis songs while sleeping where he slept.

“Elvis Last Stayed In The Suite In June Of 1977While Performing At The Municipal Auditorium Just Two Months Before His Death. After His Death, The Suite Became The “Elvis HoneyMoon Suite” And Could Be Rented For A Special Rate.”

Conan O’Brien had been trying to set a record for how long he can spin his wedding ring and he finally managed to set a new record by spinning it on teflon. If you had been following this on his show you probably got a good laugh out of it. Hopefully you will if you haven’t been following it. :D

The Balloon Project

Saturday, February 9th, 2008

The Balloon Project started out in San Francisco, California with an attempt to do aerial video by attaching a small video camera to a bunch of helium balloons…with “no strings attached” - wherever wind and gravity take the balloons is where it ends up. They also have a team of people with walkie talkies keeping track of the balloons while on bikes.

This particular attempt is in Berlin, Germany. At the 4 minute mark the balloons cross over the Berlin Wall. I’m not positive, but am guessing they hope to see balloon projects from all over the world from other people… like you! I might do this - just debating on whether I want to risk losing my camera or not. :)
